I want to introduce you to my home canton in Switzerland. Here are some facts:
-The location is on the south of Switzerland on the border of Italy.
-Wallis joined Switzerland in 1815
-Population: 339.060
-Area: 5’224km2
Wallis has a lot of mountains and activities. In the winter you can go skiing, snowboarding, free riding, ice climbing and much more. It’s a big nature adventure park, especially for adrenalin freaks. For example in Zermatt, their ski slopes are 360km long. You can ride with your skis over the border to Italy, and go eat a original Italian pizza.
In the summer, you can do big hiking tours, and get up to the top of the mountains. When you are searching for action you can go skydiving, downhilling and paragliding. The views from the mountains are amazing, and to get there is really easy. From the main train station you only need about 45 minutes, and 15min with the cable car. Then the world of the mountains are open for you.
My favorite ski resort is Saas-Fee, because there is a big freestyle park for skis and snowboards because it is near my hometown. I just have to go to the bus, ride it for an half hour and the I arrive already. I love to ski and do some flips in the park.

Yes you read it right, we have a dish that has the same name like the bacterial infection. The dish got the name when the cholera broke out in 1830 in Wallis, because the risk of infection the people would’t leave the house. That’s why the people have to make the food with the ingredients they have in the pantry.
Ingredients:
Preparation:
-Cut the onions in to thin slice and stew in the pan with butter
-Cut the leek lengthwise and wash under the cold water. Then cut the halves into strips of 2 to 3 cm and blanch them for a maximum of 3 to 5 minutes in lightly boiling salted water. Drain and quench under running cold water to stop the cooking process.
-Cut the apples into small cubes and fry in a frying pan with butter. Increase and season the onions, leeks and apples.
-Cook the potatoes in boiling water for 25 minutes.Then cut the potatoes in small cubes of 2 cm. Add this to the Apple and Leek onion mixture.
-Rub the cheese in to the mixture.
-Lay out a deep dish with puff pastry and spread the mixture on it. Cover with puff pastry. Bake in the oven for one hour at 170 ° C.

D: How long are you going to stay in Santa Barbara?
A: I am going to stay in Santa Barbara for about six weeks.
D: Why did you choose Santa Barbara?
A: I chose Santa Barbara because I always wanted to visit California and I saw that EF had a school here in Santa Barbara. So I googled it and the pictures looked really nice!
D: And how do you like Santa Barbara so far?
A: It’s great! I like the Spanish architecture of the city and the open-minded lifestyle.
D: And how is your host family? Are you feeling good there?
A: So that’s a hard question, because the host mother is really nice, but the house is so dirty. There are a lot of spider webs, lots of dust and huge piles of books and magazines. Once my pillow fell to the floor and when I picked it up there were three dead mosquitos on it. It wasn’t a nice experience.
D: Oh that sounds awful! How many people live there?
A: In my host family, there is an old woman with one cat and there are also five students with me. They are all very nice and friendly.
D: So how do you get to school? Is it far away?
A: First I have to walk 15 to 20 minutes to the bus station and then drive by bus for about 10 minutes. From the bus station I have to walk another 5 minutes to the school. Overall it takes me half an hour to get to school.
D: So it’s your first week here. What have you done so far?
A: I went to the beach, to the farmers market and also to State Street and to the shops there.
D: What activities do you have planned for your stay? Do you have a bucket list?
A: I want to go surfing and once I’d really like to go to San Francisco to visit the city. Also I would like to go to L.A where Universal Studios are.

Have you ever heard the ward , Monogamy? Actually, I had never heard this word before I watched the video about Non-monogamy. This video impressed me so much. So I’m going to tell about Non-monogamy.
In the most of countries, people have been lived as a Monogamy.Monogamy means one wife and one husband in one couple. However, for these years some people start becoming a Non-monogamy. For most of us, becoming Non-monogamy may sound very strange or weird. The reason why people feel it is because we are taught cheating is terrible thing. In my opinion, I want my partner only loves me. And also I am pretty sure most people think about a relationship like this.
On the other hand , for these years, some expert start saying a Non-monogamy is very natural thing. There are some reasons for this opinion.
First , as a animal , male should have relationships with females as many as they can. If they have a lot of relationships , it can make the rate of leaving his gene higher. Otherwise , for female if they became pregnant, they can’t have relationship with the other male anymore so female always try keeping one male stay close to them. These study means having a lot of relationships with different female make sense for men as a animal to prosper. This things is proved by a lot of scientic studies.
Second, in the long history, we had been using Non-monogamy system as a our normal style of our society. For a long time, marriage is the way to increase the number of workers, an expert said. However last 100 or 200 years , the purpose of marriage has been changed. The marriage is turned into for a power or a love. For instance , the generation of my grand parents or great-grand parents, they got married not for them but their parents or family. It was not rare that parents decide their kids’s marriage partner for their generation. However , now a days , most of people get married with someone who they really love. So waht I want to say in this paassage is even though we think Monogamy is normal and only way that people should have , the truth is in the most of our history , we used to use Non-monogamy system.
In the video, an expery said being Non-monogamy is like a being vegitarian. In the world there are a lot of people and everyone has a choice for their life. If you said that I’m Non-monogamy , many people may criticize you. However, in my opinion , we should respect their choices and lives. Don’t have bias before you truly understand about their lives. And let’s try to understand it.

Studing foreagn languagies are too difficult for Japanese except Korean. This is because Japanese and Korean are torally different from languagies which use alphabets. First, English, German, French, or any Europian languagies are origin from Latin. So they have some languageis whose meaning are same. For example, ” engineer” and ”ingénieur” in french. ”Good Morning” and ”Guten Morgen” in German.
On the other hand, Japanese does not have simillar word even letters are totally different. We cannot type Japanese using this computer.
we use three types of letter. First, Hiragana, Second, Katakana, Third Kanji. These letters are totally different from alphabet. Moreover, these are very difficult for even native speaker. Once we are child, we studied and practiced hard. In addition, Kanji is not a phonogram. These have a lot of meaning. This is why, it is more difficult.
As can be seen, we use unique letters and languages, we have disadvantage for studying English. Furthermore, English class in school is too awful. We learn English by Japanese teacher who can not speak English well. They just know grammar and reading skills. Japanese English education is not focus on speaking and communication. If you travel to Japan, you will surprise at what Japanese cannot speak English. Most of the case, they only speak ”hello”, ”I’m hungry” or something. You know what I mean? They are never able to communicate something. First of all, they cannot understand what foreigners are saying because listening English is the most difficult things for Japanese.
This is why, Japanese have many reason they cannot speak English fluently. If Japanese English education do not change, we will never communicate with foreign people.

Blogging about food, vacation or daily life is nowadays totally normal. Not just celebrities post their breakfast each day, also unknown teenagers and students upload all kinds of useless information on Instagram or YouTube and try to influence people.
Firstly, blogging in general means to update followers with each movement a blogger makes. Eat an acai bowl for breakfast, run to the gym for a workout in the afternoon and visit a gala in the evening is a normal day, but the most important job is reporting everything for the fans online. The more followers they can get, the more goodies they receive. Furthermore, visiting foreign countries without spending money or wearing gratuitous designer clothes is not possible without sponsors.
People are influenced to buy the same clothes or food as the celebrity. The reason influencers do that is very simple, to get money. When they promote, for example, a watch from Daniel Wallington, the company of the watch pays the influencer for the promotion. Another way would be doing advertising with the face of an influencer. However, it is more effective to advertise on social media these days.
Secondly, blogging is different in various countries or regions. In America, Chiara Ferragni runs the throne with 13 million Instagram followers. She recently became a mommy and almost every day posts a picture of her son on Instagram. He even has his own hashtag #LeoncinoMio. In Germany, the twins Lisa and Lena or BibisBeautyPalace are influencing a lot of fans. The became famous through musical.ly or YouTube. All influencers post the same things like food, beauty, fashion or health. Almost all bloggers are influencers, but not all influencers are bloggers.
Thirdly, since we have social media people have changed. The girls would like to look like Kylie Jenner or Ariana Grande, the boys, on the other hand, like Christiano Ronaldo. The ideal of beauty today is using as much makeup as you can, wearing the most expensive clothes as possible and living just with protein shakes, fitness, and vegan food. Young teenagers focus more on their appearances and how to become prettier or getting more likes than others on Instagram. Instead of focussing on that they definitely should like how they really are without the opinion of someone else.
From my point of view, I do not like that world. It is all about looking fabulous and being skinny, but still having a huge butt and money. The opinions of fans and potential followers are more important than their own. This unreal world would be better without wanna-be-youtube-stars or influencers-doppelganger who want to become like their idols. This illusion should be turned into reality to help third states or doing good deeds for the community.

Fabulous heritage, outlets and luxury shops, shows and concerts, sports and games, palaces and youth hostels, cafes, bars, pubs and gastronomic restaurants, monuments and musems free on holidays… I’ll have to stop here because it’ll be an exhausting list and a novel as well. Since October 2017, Paris has become, again, the first world city tourist destination. Added to that, France is the first world destination too. But why does such a renown city and have this amazing rank?
First of all, Hausmann architecture found his place in people’s interests. Those astonishing buildings, have been designed with very fastidious details since the 1870s. Grey rooftops are well-known as well to young Parisian people, they can climb or go out on them by their attic windows. Every Parisian has done it at least once.
Moreover, France is the European crossroad due to its borders with Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium…
That’s why, from a statistical point, for their holiday some people transit through France which supports its No 1 rank. On the culture side, Paris shares with Rome, the most fabulous heritage. Our museum and monuments are free during French holidays. Don’t plan to spend holidays in Paris for only 1 or 2 days, you need so much more! Garnier Opera, the Louvre Museum, Palace of Versailles, Montmartre, the Museum of Yves Saint Laurent, Studio Harcourt for photography’s fans, Notre-Dame… And obviously our outstanding Eiffel Tower where you can eat on the 2nd floor. It truly is a stereotype of French people drinking red wine, eating cheese and bread on the grass (Champ de Mars) in front of the Eiffel Tower while the sun sets.
Dinner cruises, party cruises, 1 hour-boat rides, are available for sailing on and visiting at the same time, our breathtaking capital. You will discover the timeless majesty of Paris and be on a journey out of time. Bear in mind that we’re part of the few countries which you can name their cuisine of gastronomic. Enjoy every meal, every taste, every drink because Parisians pay attention to details. That’s why everyone is spellbound (in order to give a great rank to Paris). There are a lot of things to do while you’re staying in Santa Barbara. This should be like an insider guide, it will tell you about my own experience as well as about the ones from my fellow students. Many of the activities are close to SB so you can easily reach them without a car but everybody knows about them already and to be honest the really fun stuff is more far away and a car is necessary to reach them.
Let’s start with the unusual things you may haven’t heard about until now. I highly recommend visiting Pismo Beach, it is close to Santa Maria and the main attraction there are sand dunes. I know it doesn’t sound very exciting but I promise it was totally worth it to go there. They offer ATVs for renting and that is something everybody whose heart is into motorsport should definitely do!! Of course you have to be aware that it’s also kind of dangerous because you can get stuck very easily but it was a lot of action and one of the best things I did in my time here.
Another attraction I would suggest visiting is a shoothing range. There are a couple ones around Santa Barbara for instance in Oxnard. Having fired a gun is in my opinion something you have to do while you are in the United States and it is not as expensive as many students think for around 60$ you can shoot at least two different guns.
The last thing I advice you do if you aren’t afraid of height is skydiving. it’s about an one hour drive to get there and on a sunny,cloudless day you have a breathtaking view over whole SB.

Generally speaking, Japanese are not strong for alcohol. We can drunk quickly. On the other hand, people from Europe and Latin is really strong. Sometimes, I see them drinking wine straight from bottle. If Japanese do same thing, we will die by acute alcohol intoxication.
What is Acute Alcohol Intoxication.
As a result of examining the genetic information of Japanese people, it was found by RIKEN which is Japanese science organization. That “evolution” has occurred for thousands of years to increase the number of people with weak constitution to drink. Although detailed cause is unknown, weak constitution of alcohol seems to have worked advantageously for adapting to the environment for some reason. It announced to the English scientific journal Nature Communications of 24th.
Two types of metabolic enzymes, “ADH1B” and “ALDH2”, are involved in the alcoholysis in the body. Each enzyme has strong and weak types, with 75% of ADH 1 B and 25% of ALDH 2 being weak in Japanese. On the other hand, Westerners and others are known to have strong types for most two types.
Analysis of the total genetic information of 2200 Japanese people revealed that there are many mutations that are rarely found beside genes that produce weak type enzymes. When genetic information is inherited to offspring, it indicates that the mutation accumulated without being lost together with this gene, and it is considered to be one of the evidence that having a weak type of enzyme worked advantageously. They also found that Japanese with weak type of enzymes increased over the past 100 generations.
This is why, Japanese have a low tolerance. When Japanese drink with friends who is from foreign countries, they must care about amount of alcohol. They DO NOT drink same like friends.
