– If I see other people being sad or unhappy.

– My grandmother.

– My ex-boyfriend.
- Why did you come to Santa Barbara?
– Because I wanted to learn English in a sunny place and I heard a lot of good things about Santa Barbara.
- What do you talk about to avoid awkward silence?
– Always asking the other person questions.
- Where is the best place to spend a Saturday night?
– In a good club.
- What would be the first thing you bought if you won 10 million dollars?
– A car and a house.
- What is important in a best friend?
– That you can always go back to the same person, knowing that she would never abandon you.
Thanksgiving assignment

We are to describe two things we are grateful for in this life. I would like to start off with saying that I am grateful for getting the opportunity to come here, take this gap year in one of the most interesting but nevertheless one of the weirdest countries on our planet. I am grateful that my parents provided me with this opportunity, and that they gave me the freedom to discover myself, and what I want in this life. I am grateful that I can now experience how independent I can be. I know now that I can make it on my own in this world, even if I might experience some setbacks.
I am also grateful for my friends and family in the Netherlands, with whom I am still so close, even though we are thousands of miles apart. I always feel supported by them. I am so grateful to know that I always have a safe haven to return to, after my travels. They are my base, and no matter how far I wander, I know that they will always be there when I come back. If this is not something to be grateful for, then nothing is.

This club in the heart of Hollywood right at the Hollywood Boulevard and the well-known walk of fame has a huge dance floor, two stages, a very comfortable lounge area and enough space for smokers and people who just want to talk to each other or cool down. Two bars inside and one outside make it possible for you to refresh yourself with a cold drink. You even have the possibility to smoke a hookah outside (which is pretty expensive for $60).
