Psych, The TV Series Located in Santa Barbara

PSYCH is a tv series about a young police consultant Shawn Spencer (James Roday) who solves crimes with powers of observation so acute that Santa Barbara PD detectives think he’s psychic. Shawn Spencer’s best friend, Gus (Dule Hill), who helps him and supports him. They don’t do anything without each other.

Shawn was raised in Santa Barbara by a family of cops; Shawn possesses uncanny powers of observation honed by his police officer father, Henry, who drilled young Shawn to note even the smallest of details from his surroundings as a way of grooming him for his inevitable career in the family business. Unfortunately, Shawn finds himself only with taking a series of random jobs instead of becoming the detective he was groomed to be.

His career for the police started when  Shawn had made a habit of calling in tips to the police about cases he reads about or sees on television, and when one of his tips appeared too close to the truth, the police are convinced that Shawn is an accomplice and arrested him. However, Shawn used his charm and well-tuned talent, so the cops thought that he’s a psychic. Then is career has began!

So every episode begins with a cold open in the form of a flashback to Shawn and Gus’s childhoods. The flashbacks usually involve Shawn and Gus being taught a lesson by Shawn’s father, who wishes that his son would follow in his footsteps and become a law enforcement officer. These lessons play a role for the whole episode.

This nice and funny tv series is set in Santa Barbara with the central stage in the police department of Santa Barbara. However, the sad truth is that the series is produced and filmed in British Columbia, Canada. So if you are a fan of this series, you have to visit British Columbia and not Santa Barbara.

For example, the picture on the left shows the pier in Santa Barbara. The picture on the right shows the pier from the tv series Psych. There is no similarity at all. So as in the tv series Psych, the areas in series or movies aren’t quite often the areas or cities they say they are.

I really like the series because of Shawn’s funny and special way to help the police. Moreover, the friendship between Shawn and Gus is also really nice to watch. Furthermore, it’s interesting how easy it could be to become better known a person, when you only look more on the details. Moreover I was impressed from the idea of the director of the series. How can one person have such a creative idea? So I really recommend you to watch this funny series. It never gets boring.

Japanese TV Drama

I like TV dramas that give me a lot of different emotion.I like these exciting times. Sometimes we are affected by TV dramas.When I’m tired, I watch TV dramas.After I can get my energy back. I think ” I will do my best tomorrow.” I don’t know why TV dramas have this strange power, but I am always encouraged by them.

Have you ever watched Japanese TV dramas? I will introduce them.

The first one is “HANA NO ZUBORAMESHI.” The leading role is a woman” Hana.” She is married, but lives alone because her husband works at a distant place.She is so lazy. She is not good at cooking, but she really likes to eat food. So she tries to cook easy and short recipes.

Her cooking food look  so delicious.The stories are a little bit funny and exciting . I think people are absorbed in this drama. Now, this kind of  food TV drama is in fashion in Japan. If you watch this TV drama , you will be hungry.

The second one is “Miss pilot.”  The leading role is a woman,” Haru Tezuka.” She couldn’t find a job, so she tried to apply to take a test for the airline company. She had never thought of working in the airline industry, but one day she saw the scenery of the sky from the airplane.  She fell in love with the pilot’s job. Her pilot trainer’s life begins. This story is  about Haru trying to become a pilot.

The highlight of this TV drama is her character.  She does not speak English well, andshe has not talent about  plane operations. Everyday, she was scolded by her instructor, but she is honest and full of energy. In addition, she never gives up. I was given courage by her. Her attitude makes me think that my dream may come true with my efforts.

What is more, I want to pay attention to her friendships. She is always helped by someone. Her best friend is “Chisato Oda.” whose father is a pilot. So she has great skills. She graduated from the most prestigious university in Japan, but she dropped out of the pilot trainer course. I don’t want to tell you the ending , because I really want you to see this moving scene with your eyes.

There are many interesting TV dramas in Japan. I would like you to watch one.

The Ancient Olympic Games were religious and athletic festivals held every four years at the sanctuary of Zeus in Olympia, a city of Greece. Competition was among representatives of several city-states and kingdoms of Ancient Greece. These Games featured mainly athletic, but also combat sports, such as battle and the pankration, horse and chariot racing events. It has been generally written that during the Games, all conflicts with the participating city-states were suspended until the Games were finished. This cessation of hostilities was known as the Olympic peace or accord. This idea is a modern illusion because the Greeks never suspended their wars

The modern Olympic Games (French: Jeux olympiques) are best international sporting events presenting summer and winter sports competitions in which thousands of athletes from around the world participate in a variety of competitions. The Olympic Games are considered the world’s principal sports competition with more than 200 nations participating. The Olympic Games are adhered every four years, with the Summer and Winter Games alternating by developing every four years but two years apart.

Their creation was inspired by the ancient Olympic Games. Baron Pierre de Coubertin (French) founded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1894, principal to the first modern Games in Athens in 1896. The IOC is the governing body of the Olympic Movement, with the Olympic Charter defining its structure and authority.

going to every summer Olympic Games: ‘Athens in 2004, Beijing in  2008, London in 2012, Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and I will go to Tokyo in 2020’ .

 

 

Game of Thrones: A Milestone For TV Shows

Game of Thrones is an American fantasy TV show which started on April 17, 2011. It was based on George R. R. Martin’s fantasy book series A Song of Ice and Fire. The shows running time is around 50 to 69 minutes per episode, which seems a bit long but, while you’re watching the episode, time just passes by. They also don’t have a specific location for filming. The episodes were filmed in places such as Iceland, Malta, Morocco, Canada, Croatia, Spain and the United Kingdom. At the beginning of every episode the theme music composed by Ramin Djawadi and named “Main Title” plays, and even from the theme music, you can understand how exciting the episode will be. In my opinion, a TV show should have attractive theme music so that the viewers start enjoying the show from the second they start watching it. Game of Thrones gives us this opportunity.

Weapons in the series

The show created a stir because of its unique visual effects and quality of the production, but it also attracted criticism for its many scenes includes nudity and violence. Power and violence are the main themes of Game of Thrones, and even the number of weapons used in the episodes proves that. The critics say that the show involves too much female nudity and sexual violence (especially against women). It is true that the series mainly focused on these scenes during the first seasons, but it seems like the producers paid attention to the critics and lowered the number of these scenes. In 6th and 7th seasons, instead of nudity, they mainly focused on the war going on between the houses and the developments that have been made.

The cast of the show is also very impressive. Each actress and actor fit very well to their characters and their excellent skills of expressing the characters emotions are unbelievable. Each of them has diverse techniques and with these actors, the show becomes even more enjoyable. To find such an outstanding cast must have been challenging for the casting directors, you might think. But it actually wasn’t that difficult. Most of the auditions were on point the directors say. There were some casting changes during or after the auditions, but no matter what, the current cast is splendid. To start describing some of the characters, I will start from my,-and probably most of  fandom’s favorite character, Tyrion Lannister. Peter Dinklage is playing the role of Tyrian known as “the dwarf”, who has been leading the principal cast since Season 2. Next is Daenerys Targaryen who is also known as The Unburnt, Mother of Dragons, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Queen of the Andals the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen and Breaker of Chains, and this role is played by to Emilia Clarke. Then there’s the Stark family, Sansa Stark, being played by Sophie Turner, Arya Stark by Maisie Williams, Bran Stark by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, and their illegitimate brother Jon Snow, the King of the North is played by Kit Harrington. The rest of the Lannister family are Cersei and Jaime Lannister who are being played by Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

Sources write that an average Game of Thrones episode costs $6 million to make, which is two or three times more than any other TV show costs if compared. For example, each Breaking Bad episode costs nearly $3 million and each Big Bang Theory episode costs $2 million. As the seasons continued, the quality of the scenes increased which caused the cost to go up. For Season 6, each episode costs about $10 million, which shows the effort they put in while filming the show. Game of Thrones is known for its visuals and styling. Every episode has different themes, and with the new themes, new costumes come. The inspiration for the costumes comes from lots of different sources.  All clothing used is aged for two weeks so it appears realistic.

The show, Game of Thrones, has a huge fan base. In 2012, Vulture.com ranked the series’ fans as the most devoted in popular culture. The passion they have is extremely unbelievable, but no matter what, they continue to show their love for the show in every way possible. The devotion is even too much for the crew, but the fans can’t help it. The determination each of them creates a stronger fandom than ever. They never give up on supporting them, mostly on social media. When a new season starts, Game of Thrones pictures, memes, critics show up on everywhere. All of them work very passionately until the end of that season. And even when the season ends, they still keep on working. They have blogs that they share pictures of the crew on their every step or blogs that write about their lives, or even blogs that write fictional stories about them. You can spot a Game of Thrones fan everywhere you go. It is impossible to not to see one when you go out on the street.

If you haven’t watched Game of Thrones yet, it’s a bit late, but you can still view it. You haven’t lived fully if you never had a TV show that you’ve been watching so passionately. I’ll put the trailer of the first season, and after watching it, the choice is yours.
